Many people will blow a tear to the message. "Or applaud," jokes Feltkamp. After 12 years, he leaves the most popular soap opera of the Netherlands
At the end of August, it was his last day on the set of the film set in Meerdijk. Next week he will be last seen on television. "For now, because I still want to do theater," he explains in a conversation with RTL Z.
Work week of one hundred hours
Feltkamp could not longer combine all its activities. In addition to being an actor – at the age of nine, he was already playing in the film Kruimeltje – he is a DJ and startup entrepreneur. "This business is now very serious, I have been working for a lot of hours a week recently, I just had to choose to give up," he says.
C & rsquo; was GTST. The culprit: bitcoin and other digital pieces.
Robot helps with trading
The brothers' company, Cryptohopper, offers software to automate the cryptocurrency trade. It's quite common in the stock market with stocks, says the entrepreneur, but not for crypto-coins.
The Feltkamp brothers have developed a "robot" trading platform that helps users trade. "My brother is the mastermind behind this, he is an extremely intelligent developer."
Designing oneself
The software as a service can be linked to existing stock exchange accounts, such as Coinbase and Kraken, so that it is business data from the society. the user can read. Then you can configure the software as you wish: when to buy or sell parts, how much profit or loss should be counted before that action can be taken, and so on. "It seems difficult, but it is not," Feltkamp says.
Users can follow the professionals on the platform and soon buy models and strategies from experienced traders to configure their own robot. It is the idea that people can learn from each other. Also can be practiced soon with simulated money. "This is an essential step for us to become a major trading platform," says Feltkamp. "For professionals and beginners."
In Focus
This seems like an important step to move from cryptocurrency to the act, but in his day, the actor was busy with his company for months. He attended blockchain courses and business administration and all who heard him say that Feltkamp is anything but a layman in digital parts.
Entrepreneurship is not entirely new because the Feltkamp brothers are from an enterprising family. "My parents had four restaurants," he says. "We are the kind of people who see opportunities everywhere," he laughs.
An uncertain market
Despite the mobile and uncertain market, cryptography is total, thinks the entrepreneur. "There are still a lot of problems to be solved, but it's a really crazy sector, I've learned a lot over the past year."
There are also competitors waiting. "There are more and more like Gimmer, but that's also part of the business."
With its own investment of 1,000 euros, the company has become a platform with 75,000 users, especially from the United States and Great Britain, where the start-up is doing a lot of publicity. These users can redeem from $ 19 per month. Feltkamp hopes to reach the one million accounts here three years and, for the first time, is also looking at external investors and various investment opportunities.
Since Amsterdam
This operation is carried out in Amsterdam, with now a team of nine people. "We're obviously looking for good developers, put that in your room," Feltkamp says with a smile.
In January, he also travels with StartupDelta at the CES Technology Fair in the United States and in November in Silicon Valley, where Cryptohopper The main sponsor is at a large blockchain fair.
"We first discovered that crypto was very funny and addictive, and that it turned out to be a serious business."
