Funeral Center Relating to the Discovery of an Insidious Fetus: "We Respected the Law"

US authorities speak of "horrible circumstances" at the funeral home. Officers found 36 fetuses on Friday in boxes, 27 unborn babies were found in freezers

"Unclaimed"

According to Perry Funeral Home, however, it is fetuses that have not been claimed by parents. The hospitals contacted and telephoned the parents, but received no response. The funeral home says that there are no families who have paid for funerals.

The Perry Funeral Home explains that it is legally established that they can not bury a fetus without official permission. There would never have been an official request to the funeral home.

"Not badly done"

It is still unclear why the fetuses were not given to medical training and were saved. According to the funeral home Perry, they abided by the law and did nothing wrong.

The funeral home was closed immediately after Friday. Chief of Police James Craig of Detroit said he was stunned by the discovery and that he had spoken of "careless behavior". He also said that this could be "a bigger company than they thought".

Another sinister discovery

A week earlier prior to the invasion at Perry Funeral Home, eleven fetuses had been found at another funeral home in Detroit. The corpses were hidden in the ceiling. The police were informed anonymously.

For the moment, there seems to be no connection between the two discoveries. A large study has been launched on how fetuses are stored in and around Detroit

Misconduct

The second time, Alayah Laniece Davis' mother had her extremity. Her daughter had been taken to Perry Funeral Home after her death. She heard the news of the first raid and asked her lawyer to talk to the police about the abuses at Perry Funeral Home.
