(CCM) – Google claims that the Google Docs cloud-dients is safe, despite reports from Internet users in Russia who discovered a large number of protected files via a search engine. This reports Yahoo Finance.
The documents were found in the search results of the Russian search engine Yandex, indicating that the service was indexing normally inaccessible files.
On various Russian social media photos were published documents discovered, including an internal banking report, press reports and business plans. A Yandex employee indicates that the search engine does not operate differently from other search engines. it is not possible to index files protected by passwords.
Google is ready to declare that only files and documents labeled as public may appear with a public link in the search results. "Protecting and protecting users' personal data is our number one priority," says a spokesman for the Internet giant. "Google Docs is a very reliable tool for online collaboration and it works properly."
