Google is working on a new Fuchsia operating system

The Fuchsia operating system must become a global platform for all smart devices. The operating system can not only work on smartphones and tablets, but is also suitable for smart speakers and smart home appliances.

Insiders told Bloomberg that a team of more than 100 people had been developing Fuchsia for over two years. The expectation is that the first devices that will run on the Fuchsia operating system will appear in three years. In five years, the next step would be to introduce Fuchsia as a replacement for the Android operating system.

Solution for Android defects

The Android operating system has been around since 2008. However, the problem with Android is that it is particularly suitable for smartphones. Google has implemented several optimizations allowing Android to run on tablets and has a modified version of Android for smartwatches. Fuchsia should be much more dynamic to use and should be able to run on many types of devices without too many settings.

One of the biggest problems of the Android operating system is the implementation of updates. Due to the variety of hardware and interfaces of smartphone manufacturers, many Android devices are not or not up to date in terms of software. This problem also exists since the first versions of Android appeared. This problem would also have been solved in Fuchsia

Not the first rumor

This is not the first rumor that arises on Fuchsia. Last year, rumors about Fuchsia surfaced in August. Even then, it has already been suggested that Fuchsia would become an all-encompassing operating system that would also benefit from the "Internet of Things".
