"There are indications that make us think in this direction," said the Greek Minister of Civil Protection, Nikos Toskas Thursday night. According to the satellite images, it would appear that, along a street in the west of Athens, at about the same time, different fires broke out.

In East Athens, where more than 83 people died, the fire spread rapidly.

"Here too, there are not only signs but also signs of arson," Toskas said. He does not want to divulge the details at the moment, so as not to hinder the search. There was no question of arresting the suspects for the moment, he said.

The Minister also does not exclude the mistakes of firefighters and the police. "Wind energy 10 to 11, something we had never had," Toskas said. He offered his resignation to the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras but he refused to accept this resignation.
