"I was looking for an adventure and I had one"

At the end of October, Phillip Cocu was relieved of his duties as coach of the biggest Turkish club and Koeman took over at the time. Since then, positive discussions have taken place about the 57-year-old coach. "Good for me, such comments, but as long as I'm not officially informed, I can not say anything," says Koeman during a conversation with Voetbal International .

During a visit to Galatasaray, the team played 2-0 and won 2-0 against Anderlecht in the Europa League and last Sunday against Alanyaspor. According to Koeman, the best performance is due to the players. "They have to do it on the pitch, of course, every coach has his own personality and his own way of working, but you always depend on your players."

Koeman is not disappointed with his stay in Turkey. "When I was lucky last summer, the adventure immediately began, so I'm not disappointed, I was looking for an adventure and I had one."
