Israel bombs targets in Gaza in response to missile attacks Now

Israel attacked about 80 targets in the Gaza Strip on the night of Friday to Saturday. This brings back the Israeli army. The attacks follow the thirty missiles launched Friday by activists from the coastal strip against Israel. To our knowledge, no casualties have been reported.

Islamic Jihad, one of the armed groups operating in Gaza, said in a statement that it had fired missiles in response to the killing of four Palestinian protesters at the border on Friday.

On Saturday morning, militants again fired a rocket on Israel. The projectile was intercepted by the Israeli Iron Dome defense system.

Violence fuels worry over a new war. The military wings of several Palestinian groups, including Hamas, said Friday in a joint statement to be ready for war.

According to military reports, some 16,000 Palestinians gathered at various locations on the border with Gaza on Friday. Some of them reportedly threw explosives and stones at Israeli soldiers. During the demonstrations, the Israeli air force attacked three Hamas missions in the northern Gaza Strip

Since March, major demonstrations on the Israeli-Gaza border

At the end of March, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, 213 Palestinians were killed during partially violent demonstrations on the Gaza border. The protesters call for the lifting of the blockade of Gaza, in force for more than ten years, as well as for the return of Palestinian refugees to areas now owned by Israel.

An Israeli soldier has already been killed. He was attacked by an elite gunman.

More than two million people live in the Gaza Strip. There is, among other things, a lack of drinking water and electricity. The Hamas government in the Gaza Strip has been identified by the United States, the European Union and Israel as a terrorist organization.
