Cyber criminals draw their attention to mobile games for Android

G DATA announces that a new negative record has been established for the number of new Android malware samples recorded. In the first half of 2018, a total of 2,040,293 new Android malware samples were recorded, compared with the first half of 2017, representing an increase of at least 40%.
The security experts at G DATA SecurityLab expect this increase to reach 3,500,000 new Android applications against malware during the course of the year. In addition, experts are waiting for new creative tactics from cyber criminals to attack Android devices.
