McLaren unveiled today "Track25". It contains the plans of the British brand until 2025. New models are coming and all cars in the Sports and Super series will undergo some form of electrification.

McLaren divides his cars into three groups. You have the Sports Series (the 570 Series, the all-new 600 LT and the 540C), the Super Series (720S) and the Ultimate Series. Among this last selection are the masterpieces like the Senna and P1. All models in the Sports and Super series will also be available on the market as "hybrids" in the coming years, according to "Track25"; the long-term plan until 2025.

P1-successor

There is no mention of the electrification of the Ultimate Series, but this requires a new model. Another, because a three-seater supercar (now called BP23) was already announced. The new model that joins the Ultimate series will become the direct successor of the iconic P1. It seems obvious that the successor of P1, like its predecessor, is equipped with an electric motor. In the original it was a help of the gas engine, but maybe the newcomer becomes a fully electric sports car. However, McLaren boss Mike Flewitt thinks the technology of electric driving is not far off yet.

One of the goals of "Track25" is to increase the annual output of 75% to 6,000 units. New buyers are mainly located in Russia, India and Eastern Europe. McLaren also devotes a considerable budget to the development of lightweight materials.
