Lionel Messi resumed training on Wednesday at FC Barcelona. The 31-year-old Catalan star broke his arm eleven days ago in the league match against Sevilla (4-2 win).

The recovery time for the broken radius was estimated at three weeks. That would mean that the Argentinean could make his comeback in the home match against Real Betis on November 11th.

Messi is trained with Gerard Piqué and Jordi Alba. The two defenders get the rest of the coach Ernesto Valverde and do not have to go to the meeting outside against Cultural Leonesa at the Copa del Rey on Wednesday night

Luis Suárez, Philippe Coutinho, Ivan Rakitic, Sergio Busquets and Marc-Andre Ter Stegen do not play in the cup match with the club B division of the Segunda, the third level in Spain. These five did not have to drag on Wednesday either. Jasper Cillessen will defend the goal from Barcelona to Leon.

Play Messi against the PSV is not in danger

Messi had to watch with his arm in a sling, how Barcelona in the Champions League was imposed 2-0 against the Internazionale and his rival, Real Madrid, in a 5-1 defeat.

Presumably, the five-time world football player of the year, apart from the match against the Cup with Cultural Leonesa, also missed the away games against Rayo Vallecano (Primera Division) and the Inter (Champions League). Playing in the Champions League match against PSV in Eindhoven on 28 November does not seem to be in danger.

Messi was off to a broken arm this season. He has scored seven times in nine league games. In the Champions League, he scored five times in two games, including three against PSV.

Although Barcelona lost points in four of the ten league games, the defending champion remains in the lead. The closest follower, Deportivo Alavés, is only one point. In Catalonia, the Catalans won their first three games, which allows the team to secure a place in the round of 16.
