No, I do not want Mini SNES and certainly no PlayStation Classic or N64 Classic. I want to play retro games, but I do not want to buy ten mini consoles. I will take the Nintendo Online subscription once again and see the NES controllers as well, but why does all this have to be so difficult and so dual?

Of course, you have to make money, also by Nintendo. In previous generations, they had done it through the virtual console and now they saw bread in mini-consoles. Extremely clever, because, for good reasons, Sony, Sega and Commodore have followed closely, but the consumer has to deal with it. Flaps, they may have already paid for the same games and flaps for games they do not want to play at all. Nevertheless, for a little nostalgia, we are ready to pull the wallet.

As a consumer, I'm certainly willing to pay for the pearls of the past, but that's especially true for the 16-bit SNES / Megadrive generation. In my opinion, they have withstood the test of time better. With a few exceptions, the next-generation games – I call it the first-generation 3D – have been out of date for a long time. This while the 2D games were already at their best at the time of the SNES.

This old well-known virtual console was not so bad. The channel offered fantastic titles at great prices, even those of Sega and NeoGeo. The library was very large and my Wii is also full of this type of games, but I would prefer not to use them on the Wii, but on the switch!

What's more fun than playing these games in a portable mode? On the train, a 15-minute Super Mario World or simply Streets of Rage plays between the food and the gym. I love my Nintendo Switch precisely because you can turn it on as quickly and play everywhere. Such a mini is of course a nice gadget, but it is an obstacle. Especially when you buy them all. The threshold for playing a game is much higher if you still need to connect a console.

So Nintendo: stop these minis and bring back the virtual console! Or make sure that SNES, N64 and GC titles are also added to Nintendo Online. Maybe the Sony and Sega concullegames can also be called if they make their titles available? Maybe they also want to reduce the controllers in half, so that they can also be connected to the switch to complete the feedback?

For me, the option without half of the controllers is more than a solution, but for the real fanatics to die at all costs, you can add the best half controllers PlayStation, Megadrive and N64. Although the latter is less easy to divide into two halves. In any case, I guess I can play on the train with Metal Gear Solid and Super Metroid. On my Nintendo Retro Switch …
