OnePlus 6 takes Nightscape and new gestures in OxygenOS 9.0.2

OnePlus has already updated the stable version after a few days of beta for OnePlus 6. A night landscape for better photos in the dark, new gestures and the November security update have been added.

OnePlus put the socks in it. A few days after the release of the 6th beta version of OnePlus 6, many of these features are already arriving at the stable version. Number 9.0.2 has been assigned to this version. In a blog post, OnePlus explains exactly what's new.

The biggest change we see in the camera section. Both Nightscape – just Night in Dutch – and Studio Lightning have been added here. The night mode ensures better light reproduction when shooting in the dark. This is an interesting addition, because on vacation, I had already noticed that the OnePlus 6 camera was having trouble taking pictures in the dark.

The night mode can also be activated automatically: for this you can open the camera application> drag up> click on the bottom right on settings> check the automatic detection of night scenes . In the three pairs of photos below, you can see how the night mode has improved the photo in question. These photos are taken from the 9to5Google site, which has published a full article in which you can see the differences by mode.

A Studio Lightning mode has also been added. The contours of your face should be better for selfies. The Night Mode and Studio Lightning modes were the first to use the OnePlus 6T, but were also integrated into OnePlus 6. The company is doing well!

OnePlus also immediately addressed the November security update, even before Google published it publicly. Indeed, Google is already communicating the changes of a security patch to manufacturers a month in advance so they can start. OnePlus has already completed this operation before the end of the month. So you can already run the fix for November.

The new, sophisticated OnePlus gestures are also appearing in OxygenOS 9.0.2. The main thing to do here is to quickly switch from one application to another: slide a little from the bottom up then immediately right to switch between your two most recent applications.

You can also press the power button and hold it down for half a second to call the Google Assistant. on reddit, you can now use advanced boot options, such as booting into the recovery or boot loader.

The update to OxygenOS 9.0.2 is now deployed by OnePlus.
