The 102nd Tour of Italy seems to have been written for Tom Dumoulin. Next year, the Giro has no less than three races against the clock.
The B Giro starts with a 8.2km test race in Bologna and a 34km (9th stage) time trial race leads through the mountains. The Italian stage race ends on June 2nd with a 15km time trial in Verona.

The first serious ascent begins at the eleventh stage with an arrival at 2,200 meters altitude rarely included in the program. Nivolet. The fifteenth stage leads the riders to Como with the ascents Madonna del Ghisallo, Sormano and Civiglio known from the Tour of Lombardy.
At the sixteenth stage (after the second day of rest), the very difficult last week begins with the Dolomites. In this stage, the crowd must cross the infamous Gavia and Mortirolo.
