The Pathé cinema on the Schouwburgplein in Rotterdam was evacuated Thursday night because of the storm. The facade panels were blown to the back of the building. Nobody was hurt.

The building was damaged around 8:30 pm as a violent storm raged in the city. Initially two theaters were erased from the cinema. Meanwhile, the whole building is empty and no one is allowed to enter it.

A man and a woman who just wanted to watch a movie were disappointed. Upon arrival, they were told that there was a leak in the cinema and that they had to turn around.

"We are going to have a cocktail somewhere to get us out," said the woman. The couple sits on a covered terrace during the storm. "Just a tropical storm somewhere on vacation so it did not really bother us."

In the vicinity of the cinema is being rebuilt. According to a RTV Rijnmond journalist, the debris found there because of the work was blown away.
