You may not have noticed, but Netflix has recently dramatically simplified its scoring system. So you can not give one to five stars since last year, but you have to do it with a thumb up or down. Now, Netflix has decided to further extend this simplification and another important feature will be lost.
From July 30, it will no longer be possible to display a review and all existing reviews will disappear. Of these, all users who have already done this have been notified by email. About why Netflix made this choice, they can be brief: the reviews are too limited and that's why it's no longer useful to keep them.
There are no comments on Netflix yet
Here's what we think is not quite right, as Netflix has not done its best to optimize the reviews. For example, there are no moderators to check the answers. This does not benefit the quality of the comments. An even more important reason why relatively few people use this feature is that it's not available on mobile apps.
Only if you reach Netflix through a web browser, you can use the function. Since most users do not do this and simply stream through the app, many people do not even know you can write a review. So, it's essentially their own fault that this feature is so seldom used.
Looking for a new series
If you are looking for a new frenzy, you depend on thumbs up at the end of this month. Netflix system and algorithm. Fortunately, there are also sites like Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb and Metacritic where you can get reviews from connoisseurs and fans. And of course, you can also go to Manners for everything you need to know about the best shows. Click here for an overview of all our Netflix articles.
