The Rijksmuseum will organize next year a retrospective of all paintings, engravings and drawings by Rembrandt from his own collection. The museum will do this on the occasion of its 350th anniversary in 2019. The Alle Rembrandts exhibition opens on February 15th.

With masterpieces such as De Nachtwacht, Marten and Oopjen, Het Joodse Bruidje and De Staalmeesters, the Rijksmuseum manages Rembrandt's largest collection of paintings.

,, The vast collection of drawings – sixty in total – encompasses all of Rembrandt's periods and styles, including a number of exceptional drawings from his early days. Of the 1300 copies of Rembrandt, the Rijksmuseum shows only the three hundred best and most beautiful examples. Since 17th century engravings and drawings are particularly vulnerable and very sensitive to light, they are rarely shown or loaned. The fact that the Rijksmuseum now presents its entire Rembrandt collection for almost four months is unique, "says the museum.
