Samsung is trying to push Gear's name for different Wearables but as a brand it's not really successful, besides if you're going to buy the non-sporting variant and this thing's called "Gear Watch "you quickly think of an expensive high-end fitness tracker.
And yes, WearOS, Google changed the name, but the OS still has all the extensions of Android Wear, Google always puts this 1.5 "screen on the screen more round with your fingers, and doing virtual targets to click smaller and smaller, the application offering is greater, but the reliability of the operation of these applications is very disappointing, in general I think that WearOS is quite unstable, so it seems to me clear that Samsung is not going for that.
It would be a good development if Samsung opened the Tizen ecosystem for other OEMs (do not do it), but in the world of smart watches, we already have better needed at a minimum.
