The three DJ teams that have to travel six days during the next edition of the 3FM Serious Request campaign are known. Sander Hoogendoorn and Eva Koreman start on Vlieland, Rob Janssen and Jorien Renkema start from Weert and Mark van der Molen and Rámon Verkoeijen take Hengelo as a starting point. The three teams finish on the last day at TivoliVredenburg, Utrecht.
The radio station launches the annual approach to the fundraising campaign in a different way this year. So there is no Glass House this time, from which DJs make a radio without eating for six days. Instead, in the week before Christmas, three duos will walk across the country under the name De Lifeline for a week. They move from one action to another, 24 hours a day, and have to organize their own accommodation and meals along the way. The proceeds from the sale will not be donated to one but to three different charities, again, in collaboration with the Red Cross.
The first team will cover a total of 179 kilometers. They go from Vlieland via Harlingen, Afsluitdijk, Hoorn, Volendam, Noord Amsterdam, Diemen and Loenen until their final destination. The two team travels 171 kilometers from Weert via Heeze, Geldrop, Eindhoven, Tilburg, Bavel, Breda, Raamsdonksveer, Hank and Lopik and the last team counts 169 kilometers ahead of Hengelo towards Enschede, Groenlo, Lichtenvoorde, Doetinchem, Arnhem , Oosterbeek, Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen and Bunnik.
