Snapdragon 710 and Android Pie

Nokia will soon announce a new phone called 8.1. The phone only complements the confusion over the naming of Nokia's dialing.

Nokia 8.1

Nokia recently launched the Nokia 7.1 after an event in London. It was a device with Android One and a Snapdragon 636. Nokia is now running on a Nokia 8.1, but oddly enough, it's not exactly the successor to the Nokia 8 or Sirocco. I explain it.

Geekbench is a well-known reference for smartphones and the Nokia 8.1 has appeared on the site. The website gives little details about the phone, but the information we get from it is very strange. The device comes with a Snapdragon 710 with 4GB of RAM. Who knows, the Nokia 8 or 8 Sirocco knows that these phones are true flagship products of Qualcomm's most powerful high-end SoC. However, if we can believe the specifications, the newcomer seems to become a mid-range higher.

Confusion in the name

The confusion gets worse when you believe in a tweet emanating from a Nokia worthy community of confidence. According to Nokia Anew, the Nokia 8.1 is actually the European name of the Nokia X7 that was launched in China last week. It is therefore possible to have an existing device.

The X7 was expected to be Nokia 7.1 Plus with us. Go ahead, but Juho Sarvikas, product manager at Nokia, would have decided to give him the name 8.1 with us. This is also plausible because both devices have a Snapdragon 710, but on the other hand, it completely complicates the confusion of the names of the different Nokia models.

 Availability

The Nokia 8.1 will not be launched until next year and it will not happen before the Mobile World Congress, and we find out if it's all right of the European name Nokia X7 or if it is still another medium.
