Solar panel owners have done good business this summer. Between May and September, the yield in the Rijnmond area increased by 15 to 18% compared to last year.
This is what research shows the University of Utrecht at the request of the NOS . It was a summer with much more sun, also compared to the average of the years 1981 to 2010.
In other parts of the country, the yield was even higher. 25% more were applied in East Brabant.
Sun, no heat
This year's thermal recordings and heat waves had little effect on solar panel efficiency. They are happy with the sun, but not necessarily with the heat. That said professor of solar energy at the University of Amsterdam Wim Sinke against the NOS.
