Tested: Can the new iPad Pro replace your laptop?

[ad_1]

If this belongs to you, you will only have to buy an iPad Pro and not a laptop. "With this iPad, more is possible than with any computer," said Apple chef Tim Cook at last week's presentation. He compared the new iPad four times to a laptop.

Apple has given the new iPad Pro a very powerful chip and a brilliant screen, but the iOS system is it really suitable for replacing a laptop? Watch the preview of the video.

Two formats

The new iPad Pro is available in two sizes: 11 inches and 12.9 inches. The design is fairly adjusted compared to the previous iPad. The edges of the screen are much thinner and the home button is gone. The face recognition function identifying unlocking and gesture control to switch between applications that we know from the new iPhone have been integrated into the function of this button. a twinkle in the eyes. I too am very greedy for the new design of the iPad. It looks like a luxury product, it is light and playful.

Chery

This flicker disappeared in about half of the consumers when they heard the price: the iPad with 1 TB of storage and all the accessories we tested and cost 2473.

This can cost a lot less: the iPad 11 inch 64 GB costs 899 euros and the iPad 12.9 inches 64 GB costs 1119 euros. But for a little experience as a laptop, you need a 12.9 inch with 256 GB and keyboard, then you reach 1508 euros. For comparison, you can also buy an entry-level MacBook Pro for this purpose.

That's a power: under the hood, everything is fine. With the new A12X Bionic chip, the iPad is leading the performance lists of all tablets. The new chip is even better than some MacBook Pro.

No computer

Despite this speed, working on an iPad is a real crime. The iOS system is not yet nice enough to quickly switch between your browser's applications or tabs. And the publication of an article on our site simply did not work. For example, most people will have to use impractical software or online tools (for example, programs to plan your work or fill out forms of all kinds), but with an iPad, you never have the guarantee that it will work. The new Apple Pencil sticks magnetically to the top of the iPad, charging it automatically. The integrated touchpad can be changed from pen to eraser with a double tap. I have not played much with the pen, but long enough to conclude that this accessory is for illustrators and designers only. For me, the pen was mainly a confrontation with my lack of talent in drawing.

Conclusion

The iPad is a gem of a gadget that has made me more greedy than I would like, but it's still not a real replacement for computer portable. The iPad Pro is a powerful engine, but most people will not need that power.
