Two crew members of the cruise ship capsized in the US state of Missouri on Friday, lost nine family members in the accident. The family was in total with eleven people on the boat, but only one woman and her nephew survived the accident.
Tia Coleman, the woman who survived the accident, told her story to the American chain Fox: my children, I lost my husband, I lost my mother-in-law , I lost my stepfather, I lost my uncle, I lost my sister-in-law – she was my girlfriend – and I lost my cousin
the cruise reportedly told the boss that they did not need a lifejacket. When the boat capsized, many people did not have time to put on the lifejacket anyway.
At the end of the tour, there was a total of 31 people. Seventeen of them were killed on Friday when the boat capsized, presumably due to strong gusts of wind. The captain survived the accident. He knew thirteen others on the side.
