This is what developer Treyarch reports on his blog. An exact date has not been announced yet.

The Battle Royale mode of the game calls Blackout and takes advantage of the popularity of games like Fortnite: Battle Royale and PlayerUnknown Battlegrounds . In these games, a hundred players are placed on an island at the same time and must be the last to stay.

We still do not know how many players can participate in Blackout mode at the same time. The location where they have to compete with each other is inspired by the earlier areas of the game series. The developer Treyarch also makes available several weapons and well-known characters of the series. Players can also use sailing, sailing and airplanes.

Date of test versions

The test version is available to PlayStation 4 owners and should be available a few days after the PC and Xbox One. In early August, there will also be a test for the regular multiplayer game. From August 3 to 6, the test version will be open to owners of PlayStation 4.

This is followed by another test that owners PC and Xbox One can also participate. It starts on August 10th and ends on August 13th. To access the test versions, interested parties must pre-order the game. The PC version will be open to everyone from August 11

The full game will be released on October 12.
