A shocking discovery in a morgue in South Africa. In the freezer was a woman who was still alive. She is currently being treated at the hospital.
The woman was taken to Carleton's morgue, after the ambulance staff said she had "no sign of life". She died in a car accident on June 24th. Two other people were killed in this accident
Still breathing
When a morgue employee was checking the body, the woman was still breathing. She was already in the freezer. An official told the BBC that the woman is now in a hospital in Johannesburg
An investigation is underway to find out how the woman could be declared dead. An anonymous parent tells the BBC that they want answers quickly. The family is in shock
Not the first time
It happens more often than one dead in a morgue still seems alive. In January, employees of a morgue in Spain were shocked when suddenly the sound came out of a body bag. The "deceased" person who was there was not dead at all. The man has come to know just in time.
