The judge has banned Aviodome - the new name becomes

The first meeting place of the Dutch group Teka in Amsterdam can not be called "Aviodome ". According to the judge, this name creates too much confusion with the aviation museum Aviodrome Lelystad

The congress center of Amsterdam, accommodating 2,500 visitors, is located in the old building from the Aviodome Aviation Museum, which was located at the Schiphol Center until 2003. When he had to leave for lack of space, he started as Aviodrome at Lelystad Airport. In 2011, Libéma Groep came into possession of the company Beekse Bergen and Autotron after the bankruptcy of the company.

The dome was purchased in 2009 by Teka Groep, organizer of the congress, Barneveld, including the Midden-Nederland Hallen. Schaffelaar Castle and Spaansche Hof in The Hague for the MICE Market

Teka has rebuilt the dome of Westpoort in recent months. The company wanted to use the name Aviodome Amsterdam.

Libema was not immediately impressed by the name on which Teka had already dropped the "Amsterdam". At the end of last month, Libema filed a temporary injunction. The company believes that the risk of confusion with Aviodrome, which also hosts conferences and meetings, is too great.

This was the judge of the company once. Teka has therefore renamed the dome of Amsterdome. However, society can continue to talk about Aviodome regarding the history of the dome.

Amsterdome will be put into service on November 30th.
