FC Twente seems to be making a compromise with the municipality of Enschede, reports TC / Tubantia Friday morning. The decommissioned Tukkers faced serious financial problems and hoped that the municipality would guarantee them a sum of seven million euros.
The mayor and the aldermen did not want to answer at first, but now seem to be tackling. According to TC / Tubantia, the municipality gives the guarantee of 7 million for a limited period of time. Meanwhile, FC Twente earns additional income by issuing shares: the club would have received eight million euros in commitments, but hopes to receive 12.5 million euros. It is the club's own capital, which means that the 2010 national champion can now fulfill his own payment obligations.
It is not yet known whether the investments of new shareholders are used to repay debts. Promoters announced earlier that they only wanted shares when their money was used to invest in the selection. FC Twente still has a $ 17 million loan open to the municipality. In addition, he still has to pay 4.4 million to the tax authorities and agents of the former Jesús Corona are still responsible for 6.3 million.
