The eighth edition of the FestivalDerAa in Schipborg debuted Friday night with a performance of the Arctic Orchestra and singer Janne Schra
The orchestra, led by conductor Reinout Douma, interpreted a program with poems sung by Mr. Vasalis. Shortly before, Deputy Mayor Henk Heijerman of the municipality of Aa and Hunze opened the festival by thanking the two hundred volunteers involved in the festival.
FestivalDerAa takes three days and includes a large number of theatrical and musical performances in Drentse Aa National Park. among others tgEcho, Young Gangsters, Shirma Rouse, De Noorderlingen and Het Houten Huis. Last night, Jeangu Macrooy and De Dansers also played.
