The live broadcast of the opening of the North-South line on NPO1 attracted 223,000 viewers on Saturday morning.
That's a quarter of all people watching TV at that time.
They saw the short talk of comedian Martijn Koning, the speech of Mayor Femke Halsema and then the first act of eight Amsterdammers.
