The Royal Library (KB) in The Hague received a special incunabel, or cradle print, in the collection. A cradle is a one-piece printed book, dating from before January 1, 1501, during the first half century that followed the invention of the printing press.

This is an illustrated book of the priest Raoul Lefèvre entitled The recueil des hystoires Troyennes . The book on the history of Troy was published in 1485/1486 by Jacob Bellaert in Haarlem, an important incunabula printer.

"Bellaert printed this book in French and Dutch and had special wood carvings made by an anonymous artist known as Bellaert's master," says KB.

There was, to date, no book by Lefèvre published by Bellaert in a Dutch collection.
