The 16th stage of the Tour de France was temporarily neutralized. Farmers blocked the road with straw bales. Police used tear gas to drive away farmers, but these things also accidentally appeared to runners. The race leader then stopped the peloton to allow the riders to wash their eyes.

There were many police officers on the spot where the farmers stood at the roadside. The riders are riding behind the red car beyond the bales of straw, which causes no fall. A few kilometers further, the runners stopped. Several drivers, including point leader Peter Sagan, had big eyes. After about a quarter of an hour late, the drivers left behind the car. After three kilometers, the race was officially resumed.

Everything happened after about 30 kilometers after departure. Before that, Warren Barguil came first in the first climb of the day, the Côte de Fanjeaux (fourth category). After the recovery, there are still 185 kilometers to go
