An Israeli died in the night from Thursday to Friday because of his injuries after a Palestinian attacked him with a knife. This happened in the Adam colony in the West Bank. In addition, some 40 Palestinians were wounded and more than 20 were arrested during conflicts on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The Israeli army said some 7,000 Palestinians had participated in riots along the border. They threw stones at the soldiers and burned tires. Some would have damaged the border fence.
Since the end of March, according to the Gaza Ministry of Health, more than 150 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli soldiers during demonstrations and clashes. Palestinians demand an end to the blockade of Gaza and a right of return to Israeli territory.
