Toonder Studios Archive at the Museum of Literature

Toonder (1912-2005) moved to Ireland in 1965 to devote himself fully to his work. The artist, who introduced expressions such as "doom and morose" and "minkukel" in Dutch, was awarded the Tollens Prize in 1992 for all of his work.
