President Donald Trump has decided to posthumously award to Elvis Presley the Freedom Medal the highest American distinction that citizens can receive because of his exceptional merit in various fields.

Elvis is honored for his sound, in which he combines gospel, country and blues influences and the sale of over a billion albums. In addition, he served in the US Army for two years.

The White House announced Saturday that baseball player Babe Ruth would receive the award posthumously. Ruth was the first player to make 60 starts in one season in 1927. He played in the years 1914-1935 with great success, especially with the New York Yankees.

The baseball player recorded a total of 714 homers and recorded 2873 baseh matches and 2174 points. Ruth has also received a record number of free races. He died in 1948 at the age of 53.

US football stars Staubach and Page also receive a prize

Former Chief Justice Antonin Scalia, who died earlier this year, and Miriam Adelson, US-Israeli benefactor and Republican sponsor deserve a presidential medal.

Trump also chose football stars Roger Staubach (76) and Alan Page (73) for the prize. The latter distinguished himself after his sports career as a lawyer and member of the Supreme Court of Minnesota.
