Ubisoft released the first details of the Operation Wind Bastion update for Rainbow Six: Tom Clancy's Siege. This contains two new operators and a new map. More details will be published during the Pro League final in Rio de Janeiro on November 18th.

Ubisoft reports that the update introduces the GIGR. The Royal Gendarmerie Intervention Group is a regiment of the Royal Moroccan Gendarmerie. The base is located in a Kasbah in the Atlas Mountains in southern Morocco. This will serve as a training center. In addition, the two new operators are of Moroccan origin. One of the operators has a skill based on defense and the other a more offensive approach. The defending operator is the base commander and the attacking operator is an experienced survival expert.

The Pro League finals can be followed live on November 17 and 18 via the Rainbow Six Siege Twitch channel. Ubisoft announces that it will broadcast more information about the operators, the map and the date of publication during the broadcast. Rainbow Six: Siege arrived on December 1, 2015 for Windows, Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Since then, there are eleven updates have been released for the game, with news almost every quarter. Each update contains two new operators and a map. Players with a Season Pass will have access to the card and operators a week earlier. Players who do not have this subscription can get the operators a week later with the points earned while playing online. The card is free for all players. The last update that was released was the Grim Sky operation of September 4, 2018.
