The Atlético de Madrid is probably the new club of Santiago Arias. Arias is en route to Spain as Sime Vrsaljko makes the transition from Atletico to Internazionale.
Atlético reached an agreement with Inter over a 26-year-old Croatian transfer, giving Arias the green light to follow him to Madrid. The Italian media, including Gianluca Di Marzio and Sky Sport Italia do not exclude that the transfer of the PSV is final in a few hours
It is not clear what the Atletico will pay for Arias. According to testimonies, the PSV receives between ten and fifteen million euros for the Colombian. Arias still has a contract in Eindhoven until 2019.
Arias appeared to be on the way to SSC Napoli, until Atletico was suddenly registered. After the failure of Arias and Youssouf Sabaly (Bordeaux), the Serie A club is now complete for Matteo Darmian of Manchester United.
Update 22.43 : The PSV announces to FOX Sports that Arias is working on a transfer to Atletico. The back was allowed to negotiate with the Spanish club.
