For many smartphone users, diary apps are an essential tool for organizing their life and knowing all the time where and when they should be.
iPhone owners have two great options: Apple's built-in calendar app with which you can also save your appointments in the supported iCloud and Google Calendar by the great artificial intelligence of the research giant.

Both calendar apps are easy to use because they are free and automatic with other accounts and other devices that you probably already use.

Unfortunately, there is no Google Calendar app for computers running Mac OS and Windows 10.

Google Calendar works seamlessly with other Google apps such as Gmail and Hangouts.

Google Calendar is the leader in the field of business appointments and this is mainly due to all the possibilities of share appointments.

In the example above, I tried to invite my colleague Katie Canales for a happy hour friday. Even though the app recognized his email address, I could not send him an invitation because I did not manually add him to my contact list.
You can solve this problem by synchronizing your Gmail contacts with your iCloud contacts. If you prefer to separate your professional and private contacts, this is not really an option.

But I've found that my online calendar is a great way to communicate and follow other people's plans, so I'd like to be able to share appointments and events with other people.

Apple and Google offer a range of opportunities to keep you informed of an appointment or a meeting. an upcoming event. For example, with an email or a push notification.
With Google, you can also set up standard notifications for a certain type of appointment: for example, if you want to receive a push notification 10 minutes before a meeting, you can set it by default.
Apple offers much of the same notification capabilities, but it does not allow users to make standard settings, so I often have to set my notification preferences for each individual appointment.
On the other hand, the "time to leave" of Apple is once again unique useful for people who are too busy thinking ahead.
The application that Google does not let you automatically know how much traffic is on the way to your next appointment and tells you the time at which you have to leave to get to the next one. ;hour.
But it's still almost useless warning for people like me who always take the bus and / or people whose travel time does not depend on the crowd on the road, like cyclists and people who catch the subway.
