Weinstein wants to compromise with the accusers

Harvey Weinstein is seeking financial compensation to prevent women from sexual abuse from suing him in a civil suit. That's why his legal team is currently working on a settlement with the attorneys of the accusers. That's what the Wall Street Journal reports about insiders.

In early November, a mediation was planned in New York to negotiate more than twelve cases. There are also charges that have not been discussed in the media yet. Weinstein is accused by dozens of women of unacceptable behavior, ranging from intimidation to rape.

According to the newspaper, the case of the former assistant of Weinstein will be discussed. She says she was forced to clean the producer's seeds after her escapades. The attorneys of actress Kadian Noble and producer Alexandra Canosa are also sitting at the table.

Special Fund

The intention is to create a fund for victims. Women's lawyers want more than a hundred million dollars. The Weinstein team, made up of lawyers and insurers, would bet on a much lower amount.

The results of the talks do not affect the criminal proceedings against Weinstein.
