Brussels –

The work of art "Moon Museum" of British Luke Jerram, representing a replica of the Moon of a diameter of seven meters, is missing. The artist himself has announced it via Twitter. The work was to be admired at the Ghent Light Festival earlier this year and became one of the crowd shooters.

According to Jerram, the work was lacking during transportation from Britain (Bristol) to Austria. The TNT messaging service was responsible for the transportation.

To create the artwork, the artist relies on satellite images from NASA, reports Euronews. Each inch is five kilometers from the surface of the moon. The replica was already on display at various events in Europe, including the Ghent Light Festival, and was reserved for even more places this summer.

TNT admitted that she no longer finds the moon. The company is conducting a thorough investigation. Luke Jerram is now calling for the help of the general public, under the hashtag #findthemoon
