For the moment, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been announced exclusively for the PlayStation 4 (which contains temporarily exclusive content) and the Xbox One, but many people hope that the game will eventually end up on PC. The latest rumors suggest that this may well be the case.
First, a Rockstar developer programmer on LinkedIn briefly stated that he had been working on the PC version of the Western game properly anticipated. This news has been announced for VG24 / 7, which unfortunately keeps the identity of the secret Rockstar employee.
But rumors are reinforced by the Swedish branch of MediaMarkt, which had a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 for release on December 31, 2019. The date is obviously a placeholder but it seems hard to imagine that MediaMarkt has created a PC version of a game, not to mention Red Dead Redemption 2, ready for use. This page is now offline, but it would not be totally unexpected that the new Red Dead Redemption finally brings the series to the PC.
Grand Theft Auto 5 was also released at the end of the console launch, not to mention a PC version. We hear more and more talk about the fact that Sony is working on the next PlayStation. It seems that the current generation is coming to an end, slowly but surely. Who knows, Rockstar will announce a PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2 when the new consoles will be announced.
Red Dead Redemption 2 will be released on October 26 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
