Assassin's Creed Valhalla Face Animation Bug

Holy shit, it looks like Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s latest update – patch 1.011 – introduced a pretty annoying bug. The aforementioned update focuses on fixes for a lot of (relatively minor) issues, but somehow it also managed to break the game’s facial animation system. is never easy, is it?

The issue surfaced on Reddit earlier today, and now that same thread is filled with people saying they’re experiencing the same bug. We had to try this on our own, and ran into the problem almost immediately. Not all scenes in the game appear to be affected by the bug, but those who see it see non-playable characters unable to move their mouths while speaking. They just stand there staring at Eivor’s soul as the words fill the air. This is all horribly disturbing and obviously tears you away from the experience.

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla has had its fair share of tech glitches before, and while a lot of those issues have been resolved over the past couple of months, new bugs are the last thing the open world adventure needs. Hope this is a quick fix.
