New Crash Bandicoot game maybe teased

While Crash Bandicoot 4: it’s time just released in October, it looks like Activision may already be teasing a new entry in the series. Kevin Fagaragan on Twitter discovered an interesting Easter egg that could indicate the existence of an unexpected game! In the first level of the game, there is a TV screen that players can touch. In doing so, the TV will display the logos of the first three games in the series, as well as It’s time. However, after finishing at 106%, a fifth logo appears briefly, before disappearing. It’s impossible to say whether or not that means a new game is in the works, but it is certainly possible!

A video showing the logo can be found in the Tweet embedded below.

Crash Bandicoot has enjoyed a bit of a rebirth since 2017. After a number of years without a new entry in the series, the character appeared in Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and Crash Bandicoot 4. The first two games are actually remakes of the character’s earlier appearances, and Crash Bandicoot 4 marked the character’s first fully original platformer in some time. It remains to be seen if this tease is for another platform adventure or something else.

Activision seems to have a lot of faith in Crash Bandicoot at the moment, so it wouldn’t be too surprising to find out that a new game is already in development. Crash definitely has a strong fan base, and a new game that takes advantage of next-gen hardware could be a big draw. However, until the publisher announces something concrete, fans shouldn’t be hoping, as it could turn out to be a number of different things. That said, the Toys for Bob developer clearly went out of his way to make this teaser hard to find; clearly, something is happening!
