New Falcon and the Winter Soldier clips showcase the energy of buddies comedy

As WandaVision, for all of her high-profile sitcom magical madness, eventually lived or died at the hands of Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kathryn Hahn, and Teyonah Parris, along with her Disney + successor, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, fly or wade through the chemistry of series stars Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan. Fortunately, this ineffable force seems to be in abundance in new clips published in promote the series coming up this weekend, including a really delicious moment in which Mackie – a reliable and underrated company MCU Comic MVP – talks to Bucky about the antagonistic heroes of “The Big Three” in this universe in general end up having to strike: androids, aliens and wizards.

The two new clips were accompanied by a short featurette in which the two actors explain in explicit the dynamics of their heroes. comedy terms of buddies, establishing a universe where, like Charles Grodin and a great Saint Bernard, you never know if they are ultimately will kill each other or become the best of friends. Also, they talk about Gandalf in one of the clips, which looks like a nice cover of their time-displaced pal Steve’s old schtick. (Also, there’s a part where Mackie’s Sam mocks Bucky for having a robot brain, and, really, watching Anthony Mackie take the shit out of Sebastian Stan ultra-serious is going to be the funniest part of the show, we can already tell.)

The Falcon and the Winter Soldier debuts on Disney + on March 19.
