Mojang Studio Diablo-sque take on its classic blocky franchise, Minecraft dungeons, received a major update today alongside the new DLC. The update – live now – includes a slew of optimization features for the Xbox Series X version, new missions, and additional items to fight your way through creepers and endermans.
The biggest addition in the update is a feature called Ancient Hunts. With this, players will be able to undertake a procedurally generated mission after completing the game. If that is not enough, you can pay an extra $ 5.99 and unlock the “Flames of Nether” DLC where you conquer the land of classic hell lava from the original Minecraft Thu.
While Minecraft dungeons is strongly inspired by Minecraft – borrowed characters and its recognizable voxel style – it doesn’t play anything like the original sandbox game. That’s because he’s a top-down brawler that makes you hack and cut through mobs of enemies. Polygon praised the game for its sleek, family-friendly take on the dungeon crawler genre.
Minecraft dungeons and Flames of Nether DLC is out now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
