A new Fortnite tease got OG fans excited. During this week’s Ariana Grande event, Epic Games appears to be teasing the return of a fan favorite character. Fast forward, and now Game Creative Director and Epic Games CCO Donald Mustard is leaning on that tease with a much more blatant follow-up tease. And the result is that the fans of the OG game, the fans before Chapter 2, are starting to get excited.
Speaking to Twitter, Mustard tweeted the following: “They see me ride pt.2.” For those who do not know, here are the famous lyrics – minus the part “pt 2” – of Ride by Chamillionnaire. On the surface, this tweet doesn’t make sense, but those who follow Mustard will know that his random tweets are never just random. This is teasing.

To this end, Fortnite fans are convinced Mustard is teasing the return of the aforementioned fan favorite character, or more specifically, The Cube, also known as Kevin. And again, if you follow Mustard, you’ll know he’s teased him in the past.

The Cube first appeared in 2018, at Paradise Palms, in Season 5. A season later, it vanished and only returned in Season 10 before it vanished again. Since then we’ve seen glimpses and teases of it here and there, but never in a major way. That said, it looks like that is about to change, but until it does, take all of this speculation with a grain of salt. In the meantime, if Mustard shares any other teases, we’ll be sure to give the story an update.
