In just a few weeks, at the I / O developer conference, Google will announce cheaper and long-awaited Pixel phones. Typically on Google, models 3a and 3a XL have already been leaked completely (more than once), so we know exactly what to expect. As if additional confirmation was needed, we see for the first time renderings of official appearance.

Android Headlines got an image of both devices, both in cases and apparently not properly resized one against the other. Both have the same screen background behind the current incarnation of the Pixel Launcher and the time is set at 9:00 – which indicates that they will launch with Android 9 Pie, which is logical since Q will not arrive until the fall – and the date set for May 7, the launch date.

There is really no new information to glean here, only a confirmation of details we already knew. The devices have bulky panels, a headphone jack on top, a USB-C port on the bottom and buttons on the right, to increase and decrease the volume (which seem to be separate buttons rather that a rocker). characteristic of the case). Unlike ordinary pixels 3 and 3 XL, there is only one front camera and no dual speaker. What we see here is probably just a headset, the speakers must be on either side of the load port (maybe even a single mono).

We expect both phones to come with a midrange Qualcomm processor (perhaps the SD670 or SD710) and 4GB of RAM. According to rumors, the 3a would have a 5.6-inch screen, while the XL model would probably have a display closer to 6 inches diagonally. Their success will certainly depend on prices, which we will be eager to learn on May 7th.
