The Chinese telecommunications giant, Huawei, has always insisted that it was a separate legal entity, operating outside the control of the Chinese Communist Government. In a recent interview with CBS, the company's CEO was questioned that his company had already provided information to the Chinese government.
"This is not possible, because throughout our organization, we have repeatedly emphasized that we would never do that. If we had that, with the advanced technology of America, they would be [have] found that already. This proves that we do not have it, "Ren Zhengfei said, using circular logic to argue his point of view.
However, a new white paper provides essential details on the links between Huawei and the Chinese government. Christopher Baldwin's document, "Huawei Technologies Links with Chinese State Security Services," is based on curriculum vitae that have been uploaded into publicly available databases, showing the links between supposedly independent telecommunications and the Chinese military-industrial complex.
