Considering that we’re already in the 14th iteration of iOS, it’s no surprise that the iPhone has all kinds of smart and interesting features lurking just below the surface. And while Apple regularly highlights important new iOS features at WWDC every year, the company just doesn’t have time to cover every new addition to its mobile operating system.
The end result is that the iPhone that you are probably holding right now while reading this article is much more powerful than what you are probably attributing to it. As an example, a popular video currently making the rounds on TikTok shows how easy it is for users to take a screenshot of an entire web page in mobile Safari.

While taking a screenshot on its own is straightforward and can be achieved by pressing the iPhone side button and the Volume up button simultaneously, things get trickier when you want to capture an entire web page. Fortunately, Apple developers have made it easy for you.
To get started, simply go to a webpage that you want to capture and, as you normally would, press the side button and the volume up button at the same time. In doing so, you will see a preview of your screenshot in the lower left corner of your screen.
If you tap once on this image preview, you will be taken to a page where at the top you will see an option that says “Full page”. If you select this, you will be able to capture an entire web page with a single screenshot. And if you’re that inclined, there’s a crop tool on the top left if you don’t want to capture a selected snippet from the entire webpage.
Once you’ve cut the image to your liking, just tap the Done button in the top left corner, after which you’ll have the option to save a PDF version of the webpage to your Files app.

Now, frankly, this feature has been around iOS for years and isn’t really new at all. Still, with many people still new to the iPhone platform or perhaps unfamiliar with some selected power features, there’s a good chance someone will see this trick and be blown away.
It should be noted that this particular trick only works in Safari mobile, i.e. you cannot use it to take a snapshot of an entire one of your SMS conversations.
Meanwhile, WWDC 2021, if history is any indication, will take place next June and it will be interesting to see what kind of tentpole features Apple plans to introduce this year. What’s curious about the iOS 15 version is that we really haven’t seen any significant rumors about the software update except that the update will likely remove support for the original iPhone 6 and iPhone SE.
