Earlier this year, Lenovo made its debut on an Android tablet lined with an Alexa Smart Display. Now, Lenovo applies the same treatment to a pair of its Android tablets, this time with Google Assistant Ambient Mode and starting at $ 119.

If you do not remember Lenovo Smart Tab, it's a fairly standard Android tablet from the company. However, with an additional dock and some software tricks, it has evolved into a fully functional Amazon Alexa Smart Screen. It was a clever way to make a tablet more useful.
Today, Lenovo launches the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab and the Lenovo Smart Tab M8. On these two Android tablets, Lenovo abandons Alexa in exchange for Google Assistant.
The Lenovo Smart Tab M8 is the most exciting of these two options. It offers a traditional tablet form factor with an 8-inch HD display, Android Pie and even the optional LTE. It runs on a MediaTek A22 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and up to 32GB of storage. It's a pretty mediocre tablet, but Google Assistant provides powerful features.
With an "intelligent charging station" included in the box, you can set the M8 tab as a smart screen for Google Assistant with home control, music, and more. It does not support all the features offered by Google Nest Hub nor does it have the same interface, but many of the same features will work.
Lenovo Smart Tab M8
For a more upscale tablet, the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab features a 10.1-inch FHD display, USB-C, 8 MP / 5 MP cameras, a Snapdragon 439, 3GB or 4GB RAM chipset, 32GB or 64GB of storage and up to 10 hours of battery life. It also features two speakers powered by JBL and a unique design with a built-in kickstand.
The Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab also includes the same Google Ambient Assistant mode as the M8 Tab, but without the included docking station. It still offers microphones for far fields, which means that it will also work as a smart display.
Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab
The price of the Lenovo Yoga Smart Tab starts at $ 249 and its availability starts this month. The Lenovo Smart Tab M8 (with Google Assistant), however, costs $ 119. This option will be available in October along with the company's new Google Assistant smart screen.
