New Limited Edition PS4 Gray Steel Console Announced For Playday Event

Sony has announced a new PlayStation 4 model – and it looks pretty smooth. The "Days of Play" edition was announced during the broadcast of the video on Sony's reading status this week.

The console features the Triangle, Circle, X, and Square logos on the side of the system, which has a steel-gray appearance with a matching DualShock 4 controller. This is a 1 TB system for the newer and lighter model. The price has not been announced, but it is expected that the system costs around USD 300 if it complies with the standard PS4 standard model. It's this system model, rather than the fastest PS4 Pro.

Sony also launched last year a limited edition PS4 system, Days of Play, whose design was more eye-catching. The new console will likely go on sale in June, alongside the launch of the Days of Play event. Days of Play is the annual celebration of Sony's PlayStation, during which the company offers numerous gaming and equipment offerings.

This week's State of Play event has been the subject of many news, including more details on the upcoming Monster Hunter: World expansion and a fresh look at a game where you play like a cute opossum. Take a look at the news status of GameSpot to learn more about everything that has been shown.

One thing that was not there – which Sony has made clear in advance – is the PS5. Sony has recently released the first details on the upcoming console, although its version is still in over a year or two. It offered specs and a high-level overview of what to expect, although it did not confirm that the system would be called PlayStation 5.
