The New Orleans Police Department arrested the son of Police Superintendent Shaun Ferguson on allegations he beat officers on Friday at the water and sewage authority headquarters.

Shane Ferguson, 24, who works for the S&WB, was jailed at 2:25 p.m. on two counts of assault and battery against a police officer, two counts of common assault, trespass and damage to the home. ownership, according to records. He was charged with hitting his ex-girlfriend on January 18, 2019, the same day his father was sworn in as police commissioner.
